People move here for the water… but they stay for the community. The Lake is full of friendly faces, locally owned restaurants, and that small-town charm that makes everything feel more personal — even though it’s also a resort town that thrives on tourism. In the off-season, it feels quieter and close-knit (locals know locals), and in the summer it comes alive with visitors, events, and nonstop energy.
